NGO Videos
Through the FHI 360-managed Communication for Change (C-Change) project, USAID provided support to Half the Sky Movement: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide to produce 18 videos for organizations working on women’s empowerment, education, and health issues in India, Kenya, Liberia and Somaliland. The videos are designed to be used as part of broader social and behavior change interventions and to encourage support for programs to improve the conditions for women and girls. Addressing the key themes of Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women, the topics and issues covered include:
- Family planning/reproductive health
- Girls’ education
- Women and children’s health
- Economic empowerment
- Sex trafficking
- Domestic violence
